Hi! I’m Amy, a 25-year-old qualified and caring nanny. I love working with children of all ages, so much that I spent last year teaching English in South Korea to kids ages 5-14. Becoming an aunt and furthering outside learning experiences has brought me back to The States. Currently I'm providing full-time care for my niece in Arlington, VA. I will be here through August 1st when her daycare opening is available, then relocate back to Chicago. I was nannying in Chicago throughout college, and St. Louis prior to relocating to Korea. In Chicago, I spent a year and a half working part-time to full-time with several different families (children ranging from newborn to 2nd grade). Since I was often rearranging schedules, I'm comfortable with flexible hours, as long as we discuss it in advance. Before moving abroad, I left an incredible young family in St. Louis whom I spent Read more a year with. Both parents were in and out of the home when I was there, which means I absolutely don’t mind if you’re using me for help if you work from a home office. Because of the varied interests and personality types in both the kids I've watched and the parents I’ve worked with, I can adapt easily. Most important, I’m extremely interactive with the kids. I'm happy to acclimate to any rules of your home regarding electronics and other distractions around the children. We can have as professional or relaxed of a relationship as you would like, as long as we’re open and communicate clearly about the children. I prefer to be active and outdoors with the children whenever possible (Scandinavian values wore off on me). In the past I've had a positive experience taking the children around the city wherever the family allows (via walking, driving, or public transit). Happy to help with any academics or furthering of skills, languages, and creative expression you have implemented for the children's development. Teaching is a very important part of my life, and I incorporate this as much as the family welcomes. Overall, I think we would agree that the children's safety and happiness is top priority. Looking forward to seeing if I can help you and we both feel it’s a good match for your family! I appreciate you spending time reviewing my qualifications. Amy (Bachelor’s degree, TESL certified, CPR/First Aid certified for children and infants, driver’s license, quality references, etc.)
