I finished my Bachelor's in early childhood education at the College of Charleston in May of 2015. I completed a year teaching first grade there in South Carolina and after deciding to move to Washington last summer I began searching for a full time nannying position. I worked for a year nannying full time for a great family here in D.C.! Sadly, that family is moving to Pittsburgh and I am beginning my search for a new full time position. My responsibilities included full time care for an infant, age 4 months when I started and now almost 1 year old, and caring part-time for his two older siblings, age 2 and 4. I helped with breakfast and dinner for the older two children, and directed weaning for the youngest! The best part was finding creative ways to cook new foods for him to try! Besides helping the family with Read more normal chores and errands, I came to share my love of music and art with the children. I attended music classes at the JCC with the youngest, and we frequented story times at the local library. I enjoyed implementing fun art projects with the oldest children that we displayed in the house for them. I am looking for a full-time care position, preferably for young children and babies.
