I am a former public school teacher grades 1, Kindergarten, and Pre-K. I have facilitated enrichment learning programs for elementary school aged children. I enjoy helping families thrive and I understand how difficult it is to balance family time and work. I began work as a nanny to help a neighbor who was going back to work after having her first child. I found nannying to be a way to put my knowledge, skills, and abilities to use with limitless creativity. Parents that I have worked with over the years enjoy the fact that their child is receiving attention in every learning domain- physical, cognitive, and social-emotional. I enjoy providing families with the peace of mind that fosters a secure foundation for young learners.

Carisa has been working with our family for over two years now. She started as an occasional evening/weekend sitter, then became our daily afternoon nanny for several months. Our three children (now 3, 5, 6.5) absolutely adore her, and they ask for her frequently. Carisa has a calm style, and she is able to handle any curveball they throw at her. She taught them to do basic chores, and put fun reward systems in place. We love our Ms. Carisa!

Carisa is a lovely and wonderful person. I was in town for a one day conference and reasonably nervous about leaving my daughter with someone I hadn't met but Carisa immediately made me feel very comfortable. She was prompt, very loving to my baby, and sent pics/video all day. I feel fortunate to have met her and highly recommend to anyone looking for a sitter.
