Hello little ones and Parents! My names is Ms. Teresa, and I want to thank you for taking the time to read my bio. I am originally from this area growing up in the South Norfolk section of Chesapeake. My husband and I will just celebrated 16 years together in October. Together, we have three kids ages 24, 23 and 21. Our oldest son (my step son) has Cystic Fibrosis and ADHD, next is my daughter...(Mommy to our 2 year old Granddaughter), our youngest son (my son) has Autism and ADHD. Last, but not least our two babies that walk on all fours. Our Lab/Chow mix Coffee Bean (Yes, she likes coffee) and our blue Chihuahua Bailey. I believe God chooses those who he knows in his heart can care for these precious and strong children. For they grow in ways that we never even dreamed of and along the Read more way end up teach us qualities like patience, strength, and love that we never knew existed in our hearts. As far as other qualifications, I do not smoke, drink or do drugs. I prefer not to do “time outs” because little ones really don’t know a lot about sports. The technique I prefer to use is the “Calm Down Corner.” I don’t expect children to know what that is, don’t misunderstand me please. I will sit down with them in the corner and help them understand just exactly what it means to calm themselves down…and I also give praise as soon as they are showing it. Every child loves to be caught being good. I am a very patient person…screaming or throwing an all-out toddler tantrum does not frustrate me. I’ve been through this with my own children plus many others. Please understand that I refuse to discipline anyone’s child. I am here to protect, have fun and care for them. And they will be treated as if they were my very own. Having a babysitter come over should be a smooth transaction for children. Teresa is wonderful! I'm a single mom of a 22 month old and 8 week old twin boys. I needed a lot of help when the twins were born and Teresa was amazing. She would go shopping for me, she picked my son up from daycare and even took him to get a haircut. I really appreciated all the help she provided. She watched the twins at night and would stay late in the morning, so I could get some rest. She treated my children like they were her own. Teresa is great!

Teresa picked my daughter up from Taekwondo, helped with homework and was able to take her to an unexpected Cheer Practice. My daughter raved about her after she left - must say we were very pleased!

We requested Teresa's help when we went down to Virginia Beach area for our vacation. It worked out perfect. She did a great job in either way; only with kids and with kids and parents all together. She has an excellent experience in keep the kids entertained all the time. Our kids loved the experience with her and the story comes back even after we came back from vacation. Definitely you can ask her help like we did; just for a short time, or I strongly believe that she does an excellent job in full time child care.
