*NOTE: I have a 1 year old little girl.* I am the fun, energetic, out-going type of person when it comes to children. I'm happy to teach, play, do arts and crafts, etc. all while having a good time. I am adaptable to different environments and am able to change activities fast if deemed necessary. I feel that safety comes first and I will not disobey the parents rules. I am dependable and responsible. I have always been interested and motivated to take care of children. Pets are not a problem with me whatsoever-I live on a farm and have always had all kinds of pets around. I understand the importance of influence in a child's life and promise to be a good influence. It can get very creative; such as bowling with socks and emtpy toliet paper rolls or going on treasure hunts. I am certified in adult and infant CPR, first aid, and AED. I have taken childhood development for infants to toddlers in high school and college. I help run an in-home daycare for the ages of infant-school age and we love to go on fieldtrips and be active outside. I have experience with autistic, physically challenged, and mentally challenged children and I am comfortable working with the family to learn more about the proper ways of taking care of them. I would like to get to know the child(ren) and parents before babysitting so I can come up with a list of fun and creative things to do and a lesson to learn that day. I just moved to the Chesapeake, VA area and I am currently pregnant and looking for an infant or two to take care of but can handle more (older children or more children at a time). I worked for a family with 6 kids for 3 years and that was my favorite job! I also enjoy cleaning, laundry, and can do some cooking. I like doing Montessori type activities as I find that is one of the best way to guide a child because it is very child-centered.

My three boys LOVED Rainy! We were blessed to find such an amazing sitter. She was able to keep up with their high levels of energy, meal/bedtime schedules, and still did it all with our youngest at not even a year and potty training our middle son. Sadly we had to move and were not able to take her with us. Highly recommend.
