I've always found it really easy to connect with young children and that ability has grown into a passion. I started working as a mothers helper/babysitter when I was 9 and did that on and off into high school. When I was 10 i started Camp Craft, which I organized, managed, and ran for a few hours a day for a week. I did this for 3 consecutive summers. There were on average 7-10 kids each day between the ages of 4-8. I consciously incorporated activities that touched all areas of development. (physical, cognitive, and social/emotional) Everyday we did a new craft, new sport, new puzzle/teamwork game, new healthy snack and theater practice. I had the kids do activities like improv and story development to create their own play to practice and perform for their parents at the end of the week. In high school I volunteered as head soccer Read more coach for U9-U10 boys. I had so much fun for the 2 seasons I did that. I am currently working towards a degree in Early Childhood Development. I am also working full time as a nanny for three children, 3 year old twins (boy and girl) and 6 (now 7) year old girl. It has been almost a year I've worked for them and they have quickly become like family. I regularly come up with new activities and learning experiences for the kids because I see this as a priority for healthy development. In the future I aim to own/run an all natural early learning center.
