I am 24 years old and live in the Fairfax, VA area. In addition to 6 years of work as a nanny, I have helping raise 8 younger brothers and sisters, (six from infancy!). I have a diploma in Horticulture Technology and training in music, drama and dance. In the past I designed and ran a ballet class for a middle school. Also, I worked for over 3 years as the assistant director at a children camp, (year round). As you can probably guess from my major, I love spending time with kids outdoors! I also encourage kids to use their imaginations and be creative, with a focus on whatever area(s) they are most passionate. For infant care, my focus is interaction. Whether by reading allowed, singing to them, taking them outside, playing with them inside, or even playing an instrument for them, (I can play the Irish flute, some Read more guitar and piano), in my experience personal interaction is key with infant to toddler aged children.
