I love working with kids, playing outdoors, reading, and making up new games! I worked at the YMCA child care (infant-12) which includes activities in one-on-one and group settings, cleaning up at the end of each shift, and forming relationships with the children and their parents. I have also provided child care for ages infant through 12 years of age outside of the YMCA setting for the past 9 years. I have experience with food prep, clean up, night and day activities, as well as putting the kids to bed. I believe in parents knowing their children will be in a safe environment and having fun at the same time!

Our dog-sitter fell through the morning we were set to head to a festival as vendors in Harrisonburg, so knowing that no pets were allowed at the event, we took our pup (August) with us while frantically searching for solutions en route. Monica responded promptly and professionally, and with very little notice, arranged to meet us and pick up our dog for the day. We could not have been more pleased and feel like we majorly lucked out! Monica was very sweet and energetic-- August took to her immediately. She asked all relevant questions (shots, temperament around other animals, feeding schedule, allergies, how does he handle storms as she had checked the weather and noted one was projected...) and even sent us photos & updates via text throughout the day. August enjoyed his day playing and taking walks with Monica so much that he barely acknowledged our return! Great experience, can't recommend enough.
