Before leaving for college in August 2014, I babysat several days a week for many families in my community, with children ranging from one to ten years of age. The family I spent the most time with had four daughters, one of which was only a year old when I started caring for her, so I have a lot of experience watching multiple children at once. As well, it gave me experience with all the things essential to caring for young children, such as changing diapers and giving baths. I love kids and babysitting is truly a joy. I felt really lucky to have been given so many great opportunities working with kids because it is something I enjoy and it allowed me to gain a lot of experience as a caregiver.
