I am an empty-nest mother to one perfect son (!) who lives away at college. I have cared for the children of military officers and enlisted, doctors and university professors. I have been caring for children part-time since 2005, and nannying since 2011. I have also worked as a substitute teacher in the public schools of central Massachusetts and for a private school in Virginia Beach. Additionally I worked two years as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children for the Chesapeake Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court. Dogs, pets of any kind are a pleasure not a burden - I have three large dogs, one bird, and several goldfish! Note: if there is no background check badge it is because they expire every 90 days and there is a significant charge to renew. I am happy to run them upon request, so please feel free to ask!

Meriwether was EXTREMELY caring of our daughter for over 6 months and always kept our child's well being and safety at the forefront. Our daughter thrived under Meri's care and enjoyed many engaging and stimulating indoor/outdoor activities including craft time, walks around the neighborhood, and excursions around town. Meri kept a detailed journal of everything done during the day and emailed us a picture of our daughter everyday as well. We are truly thankful for the wonderful care she provided.

Meriwether took excellent care of our toddler son in our home. She cared for him like he was her own. She handled our 4 dogs just as well! We never had to worry about a thing when she was here. She became part of our family. We cannot say enough great things about her. We would highly recommend her!
