Hello! My name is Sarah. I am currently working as a part time Nanny in the Roanoke area for an 18 month old and occasionally a 4 year old. This job will end when school starts back in the fall and I am due with my first child mid November. In early 2020 I will be seeking part time employment with a new lovely family! I have been employed as a full time nanny for three years, and have been a part-time/occasional sitter for 6 years. I have a passion for working with children and ensuring a rich, educational, and healthy environment. Before my career transition, I worked in the children's education department at the Taubman Museum of Art in downtown Roanoke. Prior to that I served as a Lifeguard which has provided me with skills of high-awareness, safety, and discipline. In my work at the Taubman Museum of Art as an Educator, I created lesson plans for art activities that helped to teach and express science, theater, architecture/building, Music, thinking games, and more. I also have experience teaching in after-school outreach programs made available to me by the museum. While working as a lifeguard I was certified for CPR/AED on several occasions. I have also taken child/infant CPR classes through the Red Cross for a Babysitters certification class. I feel much comfort in possessing these skills.
