I became a nanny in 2009, i realized my natural instinct and decided to base my career on it. Since then, there has been no looking back. I was with my last nanny family for 3 years. The children ranged in age from 8 months to 4 years old. During that time, we spent most days outside exploring the local trails, lots of sidewalk chalk, tons of crafts like making moon sand and after many failed attempts we found the best recipe for elephant toothpaste. It wasn't all fun and games, the kids learned to collect the items needed for their sport activities and the importance of having those items in a timely manner (water bottles, practice gear, shoes etc.) this taught them responsibility. They found pride in cleaning their rooms on a daily basis, sorting dirty laundry and rewards for putting their clothes away. ( yes, it is possible) Read more After a busy morning of activities, naps became important, even the oldest laid down for a rest. One of our crafts was painting rocks with special messages, the kids were thrilled to spread kindness throughout the downtown mall. Education is very important to me, instead of watching a movie in the car we would count cars of a certain color, read road signs, soon the children lost interest in video entertainment. Cleanliness is essential for healthy living the kids developed a routine washing their hands before eating, after school and playing outside. My greatest accomplishment was potty training the youngest. I am also certified in first aid and CPR. I look forward to hearing about your family. Thanks for reading Holly
