I am a Cuban/American woman originally from Miami, Florida, who relocated to Virginia almost 5 years ago. I began working as a full time nanny caring for my 2 year old granddaughter and later for my newborn grandson for nearly 3 years. I have dedicated the past several years of my life to caring for my two grandchildren and found great joy in watching and helping them grow. Since July of 2015, when my daughter relocated back to Florida, I began working as a Nanny for another military family caring for their two children, ages 4 and 8. During the week I assist the family with taking the youngest child to school and picking her up, I drop off the oldest at the bus stop in the morning and pick him up as well. Additionally, I prepare snacks and sometimes dinner and always ensure that all homework is completed by Read more the time the parents arrive in the evening. I also engage in inside/outside activities with the children depending on the weather. Unfortunately, the family has received military orders and is relocating beginning July 2016 I'm currently working for a wonderful family with two girls, ages 4 and 7. Every day after I pick them up at school, prepare snacks, help with the homework and engage in different academic/fun activities until the parents arrive. I also set up play dates with another nanny to entertain the girls. Sadly this position ends at end of December and I am available to start a new position on January 2017. I am now hoping to find a new family so that I could share my love for children and help raise another wonderful child/children.
