I was an aupair for a family for just over a year. The mom was a single parent that often had to travel out of town so I took to doing a lot of the chores around the house while taking care of the little girl. My responsibilities included grocery shopping, making travel plans, taking the car in for it's maintenance as well as basic childcare like attending schoolfunctions, taking her to her doctor's appointments as well as the dentist. I often had to take care of their pet cat too when they were out of town. I have recently been a nanny to a 4 month old little boy. Before becoming an aupair I studied Sport science and Psychology in South Africa.
