I received my American Red Cross Certification for Babysitting at the age of 12 and have been in the field of child care since then. I am one out of seven children. Currently I am working as a Mental Health Specialist at a Residential Behavioral Facility. I have held multiple nanny positions including preparing a 5 year old for classroom settings by covering etiquette. Modeled appropriate social behaviors and encouraged interest in peers. Carson is diagnosed with Autism. While he was under my care he finished learning his alphabet, was able to sit still and read for 15 minute increments and became ready for kindergarten. As well as providing after school care for his 7 year old brother. I also cared for a 3 year old diagnosed with autism. I participated in his OT, PT, and Speech therapy as well as his Applied Behavioral Therapy. First Aid/CPR/AED Certified I have Read more been certified in First Aid, CPR and AED for almost 10 years now. I keep it updated every two years and have consistently worked in fields where it is necessary to have this certification. Water Safety Instructor I have been certified to teach swim lessons through American Red Cross for almost 8 years now. Lifeguard I have been certified Lifeguard for almost 10 years now.
