I believe I am qualified for a babysitting job because I have had a lot of experiences with kids. I have a little sister who is now 7 years old and who grew up with me. I wake up at 7 in the morning to take her to the bus stop and pick her up after her school. My work and classes depend on her schedule. I feed her breakfast and lunch everyday and put her to sleep - sometimes even read her books before bedtime even though I have so much schoolwork (college life)! I've babysat other people's kids before in other countries as well as here in the U.S. I do not have any other training besides my experiences on kids in the past until now. However, I've cleaned up pee on the floor, wash other people's kids' butts, and taken them showers! I've also taken care of Read more my sister when she's sick. I am very observant and I do not let kids slip my eyesight. I do not let myself get distracted while I am working. When I notice that a kid is coughing or sniffling, I immediately let the parents know. I never open doors to anyone or have kids go outside unless the parents permit me to. I engage with children when I babysit them because I believe babysitting is not just about watching over kids and making sure they are fed and safe, but it is about the comfort they find in me while their loved ones are not with them. The last time I babysat someone else's kids, they nearly cried to see me leave!
