I love children and have worked with children most of my adult life. I taught 1st and 2nd grade at a private Christian school (South Bay Christian Academy) in San Diego for 5 years. We moved here from Ca. in 2004 when the Navy transferred my husband to Norfolk. My first nanny position here a few years ago was for a handicap little girl. The assignment just last approx. 9 months due to her mom losing her job. Im currently babysitting a 2 year old boy in the mornings, but only through January because parents are moving. I'm also a mom of two wonderful boys I adore ages 17 and 23. Family is extremely important to me, and one reason I started teaching/babysitting. This afforded me the opportunity to be with my boys more than a 9-5 job. We are a christian family very involved in our local church. While Read more living in Ca. I also was nursery director for our local church for two years. My duties were to maintain schedules, keep nursery organized and basically run smoothly. I have reliable and safe transportation (Dodge Durrango). Its a big suv, but I feel safe driving precious cargo.:) I have an excellent driving record, and I am reliable. I understand the importance of a busy mom who needs to be able to rely on her caregiver. Looking forward to talking to you about my extensive experience.
