I have been around children all of my life. I graduated with my degree in Early Childhood Education in December 2012. From then on, I began babysitting. I wasn't sure where my husband and I would be moving (he is in the Marines), so I didn't apply to any teaching positions. I wanted to put my degree to use somehow, and babysitting was perfect for that. I enjoy being around children and bond well with them. I believe I would be a great addition to any family looking for some extra assistance. I was a full time nanny to a 6 month old little girl before I moved to Virginia (from June 2013 thru October 2013). She was almost a year old when we moved. I adored her and her family. Once we moved to Virginia I was a part-time nanny (3 hours a day) to a 5 month old Read more boy for about 3 weeks in December of 2014. The 1 review I have on my profile is from his mother. I got a full time nanny job at the beginning of January (see below), which is why I only worked for her for a short period of time. I was a nanny to twins (January 2014-June 2014). They were just shy of turning 9 months old when the family moved back to their home state of Massachusetts. I was able to attend one of the twins' well check appointments, which was very informative. I learned so much from them and consider them a part of my family. I was recently a nanny to a little boy who was 5 months when I began working for the family. The family has decided to place him in daycare for socialization. My last day with the family is January 30th. I can provide excellent references from all of these families. I hope you will consider me in your search for the perfect nanny for your child(ren)!

Rachel was a great sitter to work with. She always respected my wishes for caring for my son (i.e. reading to him, not sitting him in front of the t.v., making sure he got tummy time, etc). She's was very responsible and paid close attention to his cues to try and determine what was needed for him. The only reason I'm doing 4 instead of 5 stars is simply because our time together was relatively short and I don't feel like we had enough time to really get into a good groove together. I would still recommend Rachel to any lucky family.
