Hello! My name is Madeleine, I'm 24 years old, and I'm a recent graduate from UC Berkeley. I have experience working with children of all ages, but particularly with infants and new babies! I've worked as both a long term nanny and short term sitter for the past ten years. As a previous art teacher and paramedic, your young one will be safe and entertained throughout the duration of care. My approach is simple - create a positive learning environment with engagement, structure, and trust. Depending on the need of your child, I'm more than happy to schedule a meet-and-greet beforehand. Safety wise, I am fully certified in CPR, stroke, seizure, drowning, etc. I worked as a lifeguard throughout high school and went on to be a 911 medic in Northern California. Madeleine watched our 2-year-old son for an evening (Oct 2018). She arrived on time, and got involved in playtime while we prepared to go out for a much needed date night. All went well and the kid was in bed early. He told us later she was his favorite sitter and asked when was she coming back? Soon, we hope!
