Ever since I was a young girl I loved taking care of dolls and helping mothers with their young babies. Throughout the years I developed a talent for working with children. When I was in the sixth grade I decided I wanted to work with children with special needs when I shared a classroom with a boy diagnosed with autism. I had found my passion. In high school I was fortunate enough to attend a private boarding school that gave me the freedom to explore my passion. I was able to work at The Inspire School in Guilford, Vermont as well at Kurn Hattin and The Putney Central School in the special ed department. In the summers I worked as a nanny for anywhere from six to eight children ranging in age. I was responsible for safety, feeding, entertainment which included organized arts and crafts, athletic games, enriching activities and Read more intellectual stimulation, transporting, and cleaning in a private home for multiple families. I was Red Cross CPR trained but it is not currently up to date. Currently I am attending college for early education and english. My goal is to become a special ed teacher someday by getting my masters.
