Hello, my name is Gabrielle Pozzani and I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am a local girl born and raised in the Tunbridge/South Royalton areas graduating from SoRo Highschool in 1994. I attended UVM graduating with a BS in Early Childhood and Human Development in 1998. My major concentration was psychology and communication sciences as they related to the early years. During my college career I worked at UVM’s Campus Children’s Center, a highly reputable early ed program in the Northeast. It was here I developed a strong passion for linking my work with young children to the Reggio-Emelia approach to early education. This passion continues to live strong in me even after 25+ years of working with children across the country. A few of the programs that have contributed to my growth as a professional were; Harvard Yard, a parent cooperative in Boston where Read more I worked intimately with parents in classrooms as well as lead regular parent meetings, Creative Learning in Madison, WI, a franchised program serving government officials, where I was exposed to scripted curriculums and assessments, and finally North Idaho Children’s Center, a college based training school where I was able to support college students during their practicums, and really explore my developed Reggio approach in the classroom with some amazing teaching partners. It was by far the most memorable and impactful experience on my journey. I carry them with me everywhere I go. In addition to my classroom teaching experience I have also worked as a home visitor through Head Start, a paraprofessional through the former OWSU, and an IBI for an agency in Idaho providing psycho-social based intensive services for children diagnosed with a behavioral/psychological disorder. During my time in Idaho I also served as education chair for one year in the local NIAEYC chapter. I am an outdoorsy girl who loves to disc golf with my husband and daughter any chance I can get. My favorite time of year is spring and summer and am a huge fan of Halloween! I am not a huge fan of winter but do take time to enjoy the beauty it brings while I patiently wait for greener times. My husband and I have recently purchased our first forever home in Randolph, VT and are enjoying the community immensely. My husband is an electrician for SUNRUN and is on the road many hours.
