I have worked with multiple families as a nanny for about 18 years. I have worked with newborns, multiples, multiple children of different ages, and children with special needs. I really enjoy partnering with families to provide the best possible care for their children. My education and experience has been in the experiential education field (using team-building and challenge curriculum to promote social emotional learning, individual growth, therapeutic goals, and fun for children and youth). I have led multi-week wilderness trips for children and youth and worked both at a camp for children with disabilities. I was a therapeutic aide for children with behavioral challenges. As a nanny, I love brainstorming different ways to engage and teach children that best suits the needs of the child and family. I work to balance clear boundaries and expectations with fun and educational activities and always put the child's safety as my first Read more priority. I love to guide children as they learn new skills, whether learning how to hold a spoon or identifying their colors and shapes or learning how to follow multiple step instructions. It's very important to me to respect the parent's styles and preferences. I have heard from another family that they say my profile says that I have a child I bring with me. I do not see where it says that or how to change it, but I wanted to clarify that I have no children and therefore, don't have any I will be bringing with me. Sorry for any confusion.
