I have two promising children of my own. My daughter graduated from the University of Washington (UW) with a degree in Biochemistry and is currently working at a hospital in Boston. At the same time, she is applying for some top medical schools in the nation. When she studied at the UW, she worked at the Swedish Hospital and supervised more than 20 future doctors. About a month ago, she and two medical school students teamed up and won the 3rd place in a global surgery hackathon held by Harvard Medical School Like his own sister, good with math and science, my son does well in middle school. He wants to be an astrophysicist, lawyer, or a comedian if he cannot become an NFL football player. He reads every day and is fluent with English composition. I am glad that my hard work on them finally pays off. I often teach my kids with Confucius thoughts which impose the concept of the perfectibility of man. After all, what good does it do if a man has the world but lose his own soul? This may sound like a cliché but it is so true to one who is searching for the meaning of his own existence. I would like to be a care giver for kindergarten, elementary, or middle-school kids. I also would like to educate them just like I educate my own kids. I was a teacher for 6 years (while I had my own business) and believe that "Education is the most powerful tool that one can use to change the world." I grew up in Taiwan. I attended the top high school for girls and graduated from a national university with a law degree. I got my master's education from a state-supported university in Pennsylvania. Upon graduation, I went for my Ph.D education at the State University of New York at Buffalo but dropped out a year later to start my own business. This business lasted for 27 years by the end of 2017. I eat healthy food and exercise regularly so I maintain a healthy body and a powerful brain. I am now semi-retired and would like to continue devoting my time and energy to the education of younger generations. If I can influence one kid with my Confucius philosophy, that is one more kid for changing the world.
