Hi! I have over 30 years experience working with children in many different settings. I started babysitting for families when I was 13 but started at a younger age with my 3 youngest cousins! At the age of 19, I became a child care counselor for the YMCA, and from there have worked as a nanny, had child care in my own home, worked as a float teacher and an assistant Pre-K teacher in a private school/daycare, worked in child care caring for at-risk youth, and also volunteered for my children's schools. I started working as an Educational Assistant for Snoqualmie Valley School District from 2005 until 2012, when I accepted a Paraeducator position in Special Education working with the Bellevue School District. I have worked with and cared for children of all ages, from infant up through teenaged children, and cared for and worked with special needs children. I Read more am certified in First Aid and CPR, including infant CPR. I also have 3 children of my own as well as 2 grand babies! My youngest son is 17 and is a junior in high school, my 21 yr old daughter just completed her junior year at Colorado State University, and my oldest son is 27 and lives in California with his family. I love to swim, go bike riding, walking (& exploring), hiking, working in my garden, reading books, and doing arts and crafts. I love and have a passion working with children. It is a joy and privilege to be a part of their developmental and social growth, and they also keep me young at heart!
