"Amy is awesome, attentive, very considerate of a child's schedule. My daughter enjoys being around her and she likes seeing her daughter." ~ Mom of a 1 year old client.
Hello! My name is Amy. I am looking for a new families to be a sitter for. I have been babysitting for over 20 years. I am currently a substitute teacher for Orting & Bethel's schools. I also work at Light of the Hill church in Puyallup in their nursery. I enjoy teaching but miss the more individual attention I can give kids when I nanny or tutor. I have an almost 4 year old and 2 month daughters who would be with me. I am willing to watch your children in your home or mine. I have many references, including five families that I currently sit for on a regular basis. I have worked with newborns up to 13 year olds. My rate is $10 an hour for 2 children and am willing to negotiate a flat fee for regular sitting. I'm available early mornings and late evenings, 7 days a week. I live in Spanaway near the Central Pierce Fire & Rescue on 176th. I am willing to work in Spanaway, Puyallup, Graham, or Orting. I do light housework (laundry, dishes, etc.). I try not to overwhelm the children with too many activities in one day. I plan age appropriate art projects for the children to do. Examples include writing and making their own books, making jewelry, and other fun. I prefer the fun approach when it comes to children. I am a firm but fun childcare provider. I also prefer to use positive reinforcement with the children. I like making games out of chores. I like giving the children choices even though they are little ones. For example: brush your teeth now or after you get into your pjs. These little choices let the children feel like they have more control over their lives. I know that is a lot of information but I want you to feel comfortable with me. Any questions please feel free to email me. I can send you my resume' with references. I look forward to meeting you and your family.
Have a great day!
