Hello there, my name is Kalisha Carter and I'd like to tell you a little bit about myself. I have been a certified in-home caregiver for a 14-year old special needs boy. I currently work through WA state for the past 5 years. I am also helping to raise my 11 year old sister. I have two cats and I'm comfortable around all types of animals. As a caregiver, activities I share with the kids include cooking and baking, reading, arts and crafts, hiking, photography, adventures, and swimming. While I believe in having fun, safety and education are a main priority while they are in my care. Things like respect for kitchen appliances, careful use of scissors and other crafts supplies, and proper protection while playing outside assure that the children will have a good time and you will have peace of mind. In 2010 I became an official in-home Read more care provider through Washington state. I had been helping with children for years prior, but found that I had a passion for caregiving. I completed my courses and received my certification the same year, and I take yearly maintenance courses to refresh my knowledge. I graduated from Penn Foster college in 2014 for my Vet Assistant certificate. From 2007 to 2009 I prepared appetizers, drinks, and dinners for MOPS in High School. Also, from early 2013 to early 2015, I ran a women's and children's clothing store in Stanwood with my mom. The store was called Island Girls Boutique. I'm a very energetic and responsible caregiver who specializes in being a reliable, caring, and patient addition to your children's lives.
