I have been caring for children for the last 18 years in various capacities. I currently working toward my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and plan on continuing on to get my Master's degree. My ultimate goal is to work with special needs children and their families. I am experienced in working with special needs children already and just want to be able to do more. I am great at maintaining schedules and dealing with behaviors in a positive way. I also have over 25 years of medical assisting experience and feel that my medical background is a plus in dealing with children's safety. I have always loved working with kids. They bring me so much joy. Now that my child is 18, I value it even more. I truly love helping and guiding children to become the best possible versions of themselves. I hope to bring as much joy to Read more them as they give me. I love to do arts and crafts, read, play games, give kids fun and educational experiences, and play in a variety of ways that speak to each individual child. I love to help them develop in their own interests as well as expand their horizons. I love seeing the light in a child's eyes when something really clicks with them. I have been incredibly lucky with the past families I have worked with in that we all basically became like family. I enjoy giving parents support as they are raising their families and giving them peace of mind that their children are well cared for and in a loving environment when they have to be away.
