First, I would just like to say that I am one of those people that absolutely LOVES spending time with kids of all ages whether it is learning, play, meals, sports, events, practice, etc. It is a huge passion for me and a big reason why I went to school to become a teacher. Although right now I am a manager at an RV Sales lot while part time substitute teaching, I really want to transition back into care and education full-time. It's what I love. My experience with children and babysitting stems from my childhood. Growing up with four brothers and two sisters helped me feel completely comfortable with large groups, odd situations, and making sure everything done is done through love. Though I am the second youngest of that group, my older siblings blessed me with children to be an uncle to. I now have five nephews and Read more three nieces that I could not love more. I absolutely love to make each of them laugh, have fun, and learn. With all that being said, I am comfortable being firm and strict when I need to. I also bring my knowledge and experience in teaching. I graduated from the Western Washington University with my Bachelor's in History/Social Studies and continued to obtain my endorsement and certification to teach Secondary Education. I absolutely love to help children (and adults) of all ages learn. Learning should be fun and exciting! So I try to make it that way as much as possible. With any family I will foster a desire to learn and have fun gaining new knowledge. In addition to gaining my college education and teaching knowledge at Western Washington University, I also worked for Bellingham Nanny Connection as a male nanny or "manny." Still to this day, it is one of the best jobs I have ever had. I could not fathom how I was actually getting paid to play, learn, eat, and take care of kids. I love kids! I love having fun! And I love to learn and play games. So it was quite surprising to me that I could actually get paid for something that was one of my passions. While working with Bellingham Nanny Connection, I worked for many different families assisting in homework, cleaning, transportation to and from school/practice/events, meals, bedtime routines, playing games or watching movies, play dates, sports, tennis/workout training, birthdays/parties, etc. Without a doubt I gained so much experience from this.
