After leaving home, I began my own family journey and currently have 4 of my own: my 12 year old stepdaughter, two sons aged 7 and 2, and my 4 year old little girl. The experience I gained from my upbringing taught me most of what I know now for taking care of my children. Since then, I have maintained a consistent childcare rapport and have 8 years of paid experience caring for children of all ages. I ran an in home daycare successfully for nearly three years at my prior home, beginning in 2014 and it helped me realize I am still right where I belong, doing what I do best. I have many hobbies and interests that keep my days busy. Washington weather keeps us in most days, so I know how to turn blah into fun. I enjoy reading books, writing songs and poetry, doing crafts, and Read more painting. I love photography and taking pictures/videos and making home movies for my family of my kids (which I love showing off!!!) Singing and blogging are some more of my usual hobbies. I adore animals but we currently only have two cats and a dog, in the next couple years our plan is to have farm animals here on the 5 acres that will be incorporated into the learning and appeal of children activities. I dabble in creating digital files for sale on Etsy, painting artwork, and making homemade salsa. Some things I do with my kids on a rainy day are reading stories (or make up our own!), sing songs, play moon sand, color and draw, random crafts, paint, and whatever else we can think of! If it's nice out, we go for walks on our self formed trails and make forts in the thick. My family and I LOVE trudging through the property on "adventures". We dig in the dirt, make mud pies, plant flowers, blow bubbles, draw with chalk, have picnics, look for signs of animals, enjoy nature, and learn about the beauty of outdoors. In the summer we have water balloon fights, and play in little kiddie pools and sprinklers to stay cool. I'm a big fan of activities; I know just how vital they are in keeping busy. I am a naturally bright and cheerful person, and you'll hardly ever find me without a smile or catch me not laughing and it is my hopes that that spreads to all children in my care.
