My name is Carrie and I love taking care of children and helping them with their child development. I have a 6-year old daughter. She is the light of my life, in 1st grade and loves ballet, so I have a lot of experience raising my own child. My previous experience is as follows: Emery (almost 2 years old) – December 2012-current, every other weekend. Anastasia (4-years old), Sergei (4-years old) & Ivan (2 years old) - September 2013-June 2014. The Makarevich family moved to Seattle from Russia four years ago. The children knew very little English when I began taking care of them, so it was my role to take care of all of their child care needs, play with them and help them to learn and speak English. Gracie (5 years old), Hailie (3 years old) – September 2012-September 2013 Justin Rostad (4 years old) – September 2012-Current – I tutored Justin with learning how to read. Kailyn (4 years old) - June 2011-September 2012 I was a PTA member at my daughter's school Juanita Elementary from September 2013-June 2014 and volunteered at her preschool, Kirkland Preschool from September 2012-June 2013. My style with taking care of children is with a gentle, nurturing manner, making sure all of their needs are met and that they are very happy, healthy, safe, active and having fun. I also like to help children develop their minds and help them to learn. I enjoy taking children to the park, playgrounds, the library, the Zoo, museums and other fun and exciting places. I enjoy reading to children and interacting with them to further develop their learning skills. My certifications are in Infant & Child CPR & First Aid. I also have an excellent driving record. I am very comfortable with pets. We had a Siberian Husky & Labrador Retriever for 12 years, so I am particularly fond of dogs. With each child that I have provided child care for and nurtured, I created a strong bond with each of them and have sustained close relationships. My daughter also became very close to the children as well and Kailyn turned out to become one of her best friends.
