My experience with children started as the typical weekend babysitter in junior high school. As I became more acquainted with child care, I found a passion for it and began working on a regular basis with kids of all ages. In 8th grade, I started working as the supervisor for the Rocky Mountain Church of Christ Children's Church program. There, I worked with a large group of children (ages 4-13) as well as with small groups. When I approached my sophomore year in high school, the director of the program moved and I was given the opportunity to fill the position. Since then, I've been co-directing and have succeeded in bringing new faces to the program. On average, I oversee anywhere between 20 to 35 kids, give or take a few. This has provided me with extensive background in caring for large groups, disabled children, rowdy kids, allergies/special needs, and Read more most importantly, teaching and communication skills. I gained the ability to gear my instruction towards all age groups and a variety of different personality-types. In addition to group teaching, I've been a piano teacher to a number of students and have created lesson plans that embrace each student's individuality and uniqueness. I also have worked as a teacher's aide for a third grade classroom over the course of my senior year. If interested, references can be provided upon request. I will be graduating in May this year and plan to attend Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington in the fall. I'm willing to serve as a babysitter or nanny in the Helena area and would be willing to consider working outside the area. I might also consider moving to the Seattle area in the summer providing I'm offered a live-in position until the school year starts. Overall, you can expect me to be an engaging and lively caregiver with the kids as my top priority. I'm an advocate of hands-on, active learning and the last thing you'll find the kiddos doing is watching television. Arts and crafts, music, sports, and the outdoors are my ideal activities and "being bored" is out of the question. I can guarantee your children will be in responsible hands!
