Hello, I have had the pleasure with working with children for the past four years and have enjoyed every minute of it. Now with that said I haven't gotten this experience from primarily babysitting or being a nanny. My primary experience with children is through teaching them theater. I have worked at Tacoma Musical Playhouse's summer children's theater program for three years. In this program we work with ages from 4-18 working all day for a month. In Ames, Iowa I taught acting classes to children of ages from 4-12. I also taught my own theater workshop with two 11 year old's. As you can see my experience with children doesn't at first seem to have anything to do with being a nanny, but it truly does. Being a nanny isn't simply watching your children, it is about taking care of them and being able to teach them. Trust me when I say that the experience I have had has taught me how not watch a child, but to care about them. I am not only wanting to be a Nanny to your child, but I want to teach them as well, in whatever way I can.
