Hello All! My name is Sarah & I'm a 32 year old nanny/personal chef seeking part time employment. I have over three years of professional experience with families and children as a caretaker and personal chef, in addition to life experience with my own family’s and friend’s children. I am currently a student at University of Washington Seattle, earning a B.S.in Biology. For most of my 20’s I was a server working in restaurants, and while I gained many skills with food and management, I craved more! Being involved in the births of my nieces and nephews, ages 4 -10 yrs, provoked me to shift my focus to childcare. I have worked for several awesome families so far and I believe each new child and family is a unique opportunity for me to help people. Children are amazing - I always feel honored to help guide and teach them. My Read more most recent work was taking care of a sweet 2 y/o girl with several food allergies. In this position I was able to cultivate my skills with meal planning and nutritional development for individuals and families with specific needs. One of my goals in childcare is enjoyment of food! I offer services ranging from general meal prep to food ordering and meal planning. I have a series of menus to show you and your family, and would love to cook for you! One of the best parts of my job is providing delicious, healthy, home cooked meals for the entire family to enjoy. Other services I offer include homework help, pick-up and drop off from school & extracurriculars, social planning & playdate arrangements, laundry, general kitchen upkeep including weekly fridge cleaning, food rotation & regular drawer/cabinet cleaning - even occasional deep cleaning projects. I offer many additional services with my childcare! Some of my philosophies as a nanny include active learning through exercise, games, projects, socializing, and outings. I believe in the power of creative expression and the pursuit of knowledge and love planning activities that help kids learn and have fun. I enjoy doing long & short term project involving art or science. I believe each day should be fun and varied but I also hope to be apart of a routine and structure that helps kids grow and be confident. I would strive to highlight and include these aspects into my care plan. I am looking for a family who shares the same values and passion for being active and making every day as full and fun as possible! If you think I could be a fit for you and your family, Please contact me!
