Hello! My name is Emily, I'm a college graduate, and I have experience in baby-sitting, nannying, and childcare (elementary, middle, high school and daycare). I have been working with children on and off for over ten years. After high school, I spent a year in AmeriCorps where I tutored and mentored elementary school children. Since 2013 until recently, I was a para-educator for North Thurston Schools and worked mainly with special needs children (of all ages). Last year I was a full-time nanny for a two year old and still occasionally care for him and his new baby sister. I absolutely adore spending time with children and have experience with all ages and personalities. I am trained and experienced in working with special needs and/or autistic children as well as children with learning disabilities and/or behavioral challenges. I am extremely patient, "laid-back" but very attentive- I enjoy helping children learn Read more and reach their goals. I have been previously trained in CPR (I think it may be expired) but if you are interested in working with me, I am happy to take the class again. Some of my interests include cooking/baking, art (photogaphy and painting), taking walks or bike rides, playing with my three kitties, movies, and music of all kinds.
