Hi! I'm Samantha. I'm a loving, playful, experienced nanny who wants to help you in your role as a parent(s) by giving your child the love and care he or she needs to be happy and healthy, giving you peace of mind while doing so. For 2 years before college, I worked as a mother's helper and babysitter for 2 families, the children ranging in age from 3 weeks to 9 years. I nurtured them through providing meals and snacks, baths and dressing, diaper changing, indoor and outdoor play, music and art time and help with homework. I also did numerous housekeeping tasks. I more recently worked as a teacher at an early learning center for 3 years, working with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. I provided full physical care and taught baby signs, starting Spanish, beginning math, reading and writing skills, motor skills, art, music, science, nature, Read more shapes and colors, manners and respectful peer interaction. I also provided experiences in sensory discovery and outdoor play twice a day, playing outdoor games and often doing curricular activities as well. I'm the eldest of 8 children, so I was always around infant-adolescent siblings during my childhood and helped care for them. I play the piano, majored in music in college, and have received awards and scholarships for my musical abilities and contributions. I love singing, music, bird watching and study, art, literature, making collage art and cross-stitching. I'm a loving, cheerful, hands-on caregiver who loves teaching children about animals, nature and music, getting them outside to play and learn, and simply playing with them and having fun! I'm a believer in and have engaged in helping children develop their imaginations, reading with them every day, providing them with outdoor play every day, letting them discover art and their creativity through experimentation and enjoyment of the process, teaching them about diversity, kindness and empathy, fostering their independence and individuality and showing them that learning is fun!
