From the time I was a Head Start volunteer in Tulsa, I knew I wanted to work with children. In college I was trained to be an art teacher, but in graduate school I discovered occupational therapy, and I have been a practicing therapist in the Seattle area for about thirty years. I currently work in Seattle Public Schools and a private clinic in Issaquah, as well as a small private practice. I have one son, who is 21 years old, and is working as a nanny. He loves his job. Although I have never worked as a nanny, I believe that my own experience being a mother, as well as my experience with hundreds of school children, will serve me well as a nanny. I am fond of and intrigued by children of all ages. There is no caretaking task too small or too large to be taken lightly, Read more or done with less than the utmost care and respect. I enjoy being active and actively engaged with children. I love being outdoors or in, and consider myself in excellent health, able to keep pace with infants, toddlers, teenagers, and every age between. I would welcome the opportunity to become a nanny. Below is a question regarding number of children with whom one would feel comfortable. I didn't know how to answer, as there are so many things to consider that are far more important than numbers. I believe I could work well with one, two, three or four children, depending on the circumstances. Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.
