I am a Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse at Seattle Children’s Hospital. I have also worked as a nanny, tutor, classroom aid, Headstart Teacher Assistant and camp counselor for children with special needs and life altering medical conditions. I have been a primary nurse for many infants and I LOVE taking care of babies and children! I love working with children and participating in their development and discovery of their world. I cannot commit to full-time nannying, since I work full time as a nurse, but I could serve as a back-up in case your nanny is sick/unavailable/on vacation, or for an extra evening a week if you need care help while you run errands. If you have a planned date that you need a babysitter for, want to have a date night, need coverage for, I can try to plan it into my schedule. I have a very random work Read more schedule with a mix of day shift and night shift. I work Monday-Friday from about 8AM-5PM. I have access to a car and a clean driving record (my dad is a Sheriff...safe driving was a must :) ) I am active, bubbly, gentle, patient and I LOVE learning. Some of my favorite things are yoga, paddleboarding, bike rides, sunshine, reading, crafts, singing, running, decorating and organizing things (I'm a color-coded closet type of person), learning languages, and family time Education/Work History Bachelor of Science (Seattle Pacific University) * SPU Full Tuition Scholar, Ames Multicultural Scholar * Seattle Pacific University’s 2012 Person of Promise * Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) trained/Basic Life Support/CPR certified * Conversational Spanish fluency * Seattle Children’s Hospital Family Choice Award nominee -Peer Advisor (Resident Assistant): Seattle Pacific University -Teacher Assistant: Washington State Migrant Council Headstart Program * Provided quality, daily care for a group of 8 Spanish-speaking children living in migrant worker camps. Interpreted for teachers during home visits and collaborated with Spanish-speaking parents to create a learning plan for the child. Volunteered in SeaMar health and dental fairs at camp
