Career nanny with over 20 years experience working with newborns through teenagers, looking for part-time (up to 20 hours a week), and short term (up to 6 months), starting in October (flexible for the right family). Shares are welcome. Have a car, 1st aid & CPR certified. Fully vaccinated, and very covid cautious. Excellent references available. I have worked with kids in a variety of capacities my entire life (starting as big sister and built in babysitter to 3 younger brothers), and genuinely just love being with them. My over 20 years of work has included: babysitting, nannying, tutoring, mentoring, residential counselor for kids living in group care, therapeutic work with kids with social \ emotional challenges, camp counselor, infant classroom teacher, and teaching a variety of community youth classes including dance, ‘yoga’, martial arts, self-defense and tumbling. I have an associates degree in social and human services with a Read more certificate in early childhood education (and all the stars credits), a bachelors degree in social services, and did some graduate studies in special education - social \ emotional \ behavioral track. I have worked as a nanny for my current family (Girl almost 4, and Girl 15 months) for two years. My previous nanny kids have ranged in age from newborn to 11 years, and have included nanny shares of up to 5 kids at a time. I’m comfortable working with a range of special needs. I like meeting kids where they are at and using a mix of humor, flexibility, structure, positive reinforcement, and (as developmentally appropriate) natural consequences. I have worked with and appreciate a variety of parenting styles, and am pretty flexible, and can adapt to reinforce your preferred approaches. I enjoy taking kids on lots of outdoor adventures - exploring the neighborhood, playing at parks, picking berries, riding bikes\trikes\scooters, playing at the lake…. As well as staying in for art projects, music, books, cooking experiments and imaginative play. Open to additional household tasks including pet care, cleaning, organizing… I’m looking for: Rates starting at $25hr or more Pay over the table (unless its like a one time thing) Kids and I have our own space in the house if parents are working from home Guarenteed hours with a contract Adults and teens in the house are covid vaccinated, and the household is covid cautious North Seattle or a short commute preferred (can be flexible)
