I am twenty-five years old and I have spent most of my life around children. I grew up in a large family in Southern California with four sisters and lots of cousins. I began babysitting at a young age for neighborhood families and soon after that I provided childcare for a few local bible study small groups. I taught several Sunday School classes for preschool aged children while in high school and I also became a part-time nanny for a family of five children (ages 8,5,3,1 and newborn) my senior year of high school. Being home schooled allowed me to have a flexible schedule which provided me with the time to work a few days a week. I have always been hard working and I love to be busy! After high school I started working full time at Starbucks and went to school. I am currently looking at online classes Read more to continue my education and I am hoping to pursue a degree in early education. I love working with children and would like to become a preschool teacher. In the summer of 2013 I worked at The Salvation Army Camp Arnold in Eatonville, WA. I spent eight weeks at a wilderness camp with different groups of at risk teens and the experience taught me so much. It was also during those two months that I fell in love with Washington and decided to pack up and head north from my home in San Diego. I moved to West Seattle in November of 2013 and began working for the daycare Growing Footprints. I absolutely love the kids and the program but my hours are limited and I am looking for more work, whether it is part-time or full time. I am also currently babysitting part time for two families and they each have a one year old and a three year old. I am most interested in finding a full time job as a nanny but I am also open to part-time work.
