Initially from Chicago, I went to North Carolina to get a degree in Outdoor Leadership. I grew up with 3 siblings and over 50 foster siblings coming through my house; my room was the baby room! I started babysitting every day for a family around the corner when I was 12 and never really stopped. During college I volunteered in a 2nd grade classroom in a charter school as a teacher's aid. After graduating from college, I became a preschool lead teacher for 1 year olds and was later lead teacher for 4 year olds at a different school. In addition to my years of watching over preschoolers and younger, I have also worked a lot with older kids. I have been a camp director and counselor for the YMCA and other organizations. In 2013 I was also a live-in nanny for an attachment parenting family with two children, an Read more under 1 year old and a 4 year old. I have tons of energy and can keep up with any amount of children while at the same time I love sitting down and helping with homework or doing arts and crafts. Creating games and secretly educational activities are a specialty of mine. Televisions or iPads are not needed to entertain children while I am around. I have experience working with children with ADD/ADHD and developmental disabilities in addition to lots of attachment parenting experience. I have a clean driving record and can provide references if necessary. I am a non-smoker and passionate about quality living (food, education, physical activity, entertainment, etc.). I am ideally looking for full-time work or to split my time between 2 families. This is my full time job so I take all bookings and reservations seriously.
