Since January, I have worked as both a part-time (during the school year) and full-time (during the summer) nanny for a family with four boys (ages 11, 9, 8, and 6), three of which being special needs. My responsibilities have included planning activities, driving the kids to and from activities/school/extracurricular, giving medication, getting them to bed, and reading them stories (in different character voices - a Theater major is good for something!). This has been done in addition to helping around the house (i. e. cleaning, cooking dinner, washing dishes, etc.). Moreover, I was previously a sitter for a family with two boys (ages 3 and 18 months) on a bi-weekly basis for six months where responsibilities included getting them to bed, playing with them, changing the baby, and doing housework.
