From being the neighborhood go-to babysitter in the 80's, to filling my weekends with sitting during college in the 90's, to being a full time nanny in the early 2000s, to raising my own now 6 yr old child- it's children with whom I have consistently been most comfortable in my own skin around! I have pursued many different interests and hobbies and will continue to, but I always like to do what I do best when I need part time work- take care of kids and help the overall flow of a household. I've also done this periodically for elders and home bound adults...it's just more fun with kids! I can cook, do light cleaning, drive, but most of all I will impact your child's life in the most positive ways. I am nurturing, artistic, youthful (in attitude!), and overall just have a ton of experience and references. My Read more ideal position would be in West Seattle. The hours would be 8:30/9 to 2:30/3 but I can work as late as 5:00. I need to pick up my son from his West Seattle school by 3:15, or by 5:30 if he stays in aftercare for the afternoon. I am willing to have him do aftercare twice a week if you need later afternoon help. Ballard/Bothell/Magnolia would not be practical for my doing drop off/pick up in West Seattle! Amy was a great first nanny for our daughter! She watched our baby grow from 2.5 to 7.5 months old. Little girl loved her from day one. They always had fun and laughed a lot. And during times when baby was upset and missing her mom, Amy always cared for her with love and patience. Amy is a very caring, attentive and honest person and we did not hesitate to trust her to care for our little girl. She always honoured our wishes as parents and made sure to care for our baby in the way in which we preferred. She was also always able to make time to do some chores around the house, which was incredibly helpful. She quickly became a friend and we miss her! Amy’s position as a nanny at our home ended when a grandmother came to town and took over nanny’s duties for a few months.
