My first Seattle family consisted of a 3rd grader, and her pre-K brother. I would pick the 3rd grader up from school (on foot), and walk her back to her apartment, where I would oversee homework, and prepare a snack for her. My longest running nanny job, I would watch a 2 year old foster child (who was later adopted by the family who employed me) four days a week while her work-from-home parents worked in the office. While she napped, I'd also do light housework and meal prep. This job included bussing with their child to the zoo, museums, etc. For the last three years, I've been a "date night nanny" as well as house-sitter and dog walker for a family in Leschi. Their toddler needs less supervision these days, so I mostly house sit for them once or twice a year.
