My parents have been very consistent in teaching my sister and me many things throughout our lives. The one thing they seem to understand better than anyone else I've encountered during my 20 years of living: Love. My parents never really sat down and explained literally what Love is, but they made it rather clear in the way they treat my sister and me the whole time we were growing up. Our parents showed us how much they loved us by giving us everything they had to offer. The behavior that separates them from all of the other generous parents in the world is their consistency. They don't have to think or consider giving me something that I need because for them, it's instinct. Me taking good care of myself results in them feeling happy, satisfied, and taking care of themselves in return. They have taught me that the most Read more important quality in a potential friend is simply saying they're going to do something and following through with it. My parents are genuine in everything they do. I take after them whole-heartedly. It's impossible not to be inspired by their persistent, unshakable inspiration and motivation they confide in my sister and me. Nothing makes me happier or fills my heart more than making my parents proud. Out of all of their traits, the one I aspire to embody most is their ability to care for others. Being a dependable and trustworthy friend is relentlessly important to me. The hardest decision I make several times a day, every day, is whether to put myself or others first. Sometimes the decision is easy; no matter how much of a hurry I'm in to get somewhere, I'll hold the door open for whoever is behind me. I've had seven jobs, and they all require me to interact with grown men and women each day. At every one of these jobs, when a grown man or woman comes into the establishment with a child, I forget what my job title is. Suddenly, my sole purpose for being in that room is to make this kid smile. I wave at them first, I'll play peek-a-boo across the room, I make weird faces at them. All I want is to play with this little human, and I literally forget why it isn't my job to hang out with this baby instead of their parents. (no offense parents) I've grown up around a family of hundreds of cousins and relatives (not mine) of all ages, and that has provided me with more practice and experience in childcare than I can explain on my laptop. Currently, I am a full-time student. My classes are from 7:30 AM-11:00 AM Monday-Friday.
