I grew up in a family of 11 children, with eight younger siblings - six of which we adopted from abusive homes. I adore children, and have not only been a second mom to my own brothers and sisters, but I've pretty much made a living working with kids. Whether it's baby-sitting, giving swim lessons, helping coach recreation soccer, volunteering with Special Olympics, Ronald McDonald House, the Boys and Girls' Club of America or even the Children's Hospital, I have spent most my life around kids of all ages (including newborns!) and backgrounds. I even have experience with teaching piano lessons, and tutoring for a local home school group. I have worked as a nanny for three families in the past five years, and for both I was not only a caregiver, but also helped with household chores like laundry, cleaning, and cooking! (I took a few cooking courses while Read more studying, so I have a little experience in that area). I also have worked as a swim coach for USA Swimming, where I taught ages 4-10 to become comfortable in the water, and eventually learn to swim at a competitive level. I am CPR and First Aid certified, with my WSI license, and just recently moved to Spokane so I have a very open and flexible schedule. I am looking forward to finding a loving and kind family to become a part of!
