Now a little bit about me... I am currently attending WSU Vancouver to pursue a degree in English Education and a minor in Women's Studies, and I will graduate this December with my teaching certificate. For the past year, my fiance and I have been settling down in Vancouver and because of this I took a second job (my first being Starbucks) with the surrounding school districts (Ridgefield, Vancouver, and Evergreen) being a tutor, something I love to do! Now that we are living comfortably, I can afford to take a job I am more passionate about and more career oriented. While I am an only child, I have over 14 immediate first cousins, and I am one of the 3 oldest in my family. I have spent years taking care of them, and I believe that is where my passion for children came from. While I am not a Read more mother yet myself, this past school year I have had 10-14 students which I feel are practically my own. I am CPR certified as well. Education is one of my top priorities, but so is teaching young children how to lead successful adult lives, whether that be through getting organized or eating healthy. I am a vegetarian, and am all for eating healthy! I love to cook, and use all fresh ingredients in my cooking. I am also very passionate about craft/art projects, so expect to see your fridge covered in your child's work :) I plan on leaving Starbucks shortly, and can be ready to work within 2 weeks of hire date.
