Hello! My name is Kristin J. Bahr. I'm excited to be considered a potential nanny for your family. I understand this is a very serious and cordial decision to make for you and your children; I am glad to share my work/volunteer experiences which qualify me as an experienced and trustworthy nanny. I have been providing care for children since I was in high school. I was a nanny for two summers before I went off to college and continued having child-care a part of my career course since. During/after college I have either worked with children at a preschool, via babysitting, or at a day-time center with children diagnosed with Autism. My fiancé has nieces and nephews I frequently help babysit as well. I will be married this October and together my fiancé and I want to have our own children in due time. The family unit is very Read more important to us!My four-year degree is from the University of North Dakota. I graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science in Social Work. I began with Early Childhood Education for two years than had a bleeding heart to help beyond academia when contributing to the well-being of children and to other populations. After having experience working in the human service field for several years, I found being the nurturing woman I am made it difficult seeing heartache and strife people went through-especially when I was limited by my job description or by a lack of resources to help them.I enjoy working around cheerful environments best where I can see the fruit of my labor more frequent and more evidently. I've worked with seniors, adults with developmental disabilities, and with children. My favorite is serving children. I can relate with children and their zeal for life. I have much enthusiasm, so much I not only see the glass half full, I see it over flowing with opportunity and possibility. That's the beauty of caring for children. They are not prone to discouragement. They enjoy the box their Christmas gift came in as much as the toy itself. They celebrate life without hesitation. That's a trait that should continue into adulthood. Children deserve healthy environments so they can develop into their unique selves and when they make a mistake they are helped back on track with unconditional care and love.I love to pour into something that is ever-lasting like that of a family. Families have an unrivaled special bond unlike any other group of people, and this bond is worth helping; it is the fabric of life!
