Hello my name is Karen. I am a mother to 5 wonderful children who are now all in school. I have worked in health care full time for the past 16 years and have decided I would like a change. I enjoy playing outside, singing, and reading to children. I am so proud of my own children and all of their accomplishments and would like to share in the life of other families as well. I believe all parents have their own style of raising their children and I have sincere respect for that. It is important to me to maintain continuity of family beliefs and practices. In my own experience raising my own children, it is most often the simple things that make the fondest memories. Taking a walk and stopping to look at caterpillars and leaves and picking up special rocks are among the favorites. Sitting down to Read more read a good story before a nap has always been a great way to wind down even the most active of my children. I also enjoy cooking and teaching my children to follow recipes and use the measurements as a great way to practice math. I enjoy housework and have no problem helping busy parents keep up on their chores.
