I am the oldest of five children, and so I had the opportunity to begin training for child care at a young age. I took the Babysitter's Course through the Red Cross when I was 12. Since then, I have had several regular babysitting jobs. I was also cared for an infant until he was about 2 years old, mostly during the day while his mother was at work. I also worked as a live-in nanny for a year, taking care of a 4 year old. I also have plenty of experience volunteering in the church nursery, and helping with child care during Vacation Bible School. I am happy to give you any references you may want!
