I LOVE children and have been a nanny, babysitter, mentor, tutor, aide/therapist for children of all ages and abilities for 15+ years. I have 2+ years of preschool teaching experience, as lead head teacher in the infant/toddler classrooms, as well as had the opportunity to be a float teacher for all age groups. I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from UW-Madison, where I also studied child development and Spanish (which I am near fluent in- written and spoken) and completed over 100 hours of coursework in early childhood education. I really have a lot of experience working with children and will always care for other’s children as if they were my own. I was just re-certified in CPR and first aid for infants, children, and adults which is valid through April 2017. I also have experience with newborns as well as with infant twins and itty-bitty preemies (1 lb, Read more 4 oz). I love to smile and sing to young children and I am a gentle loving nurturer who truly gets engaged with the children during play, learning, teaching, etc. I am very active and have played and coached multiple sports. I like being active outdoors and staying away from television as much as possible. Being a hands-on learner myself, I am a hands-on teacher as well. I am knowledgeable about age-appropriate play and activities and am very respectful in adapting to different parenting styles and the individual needs of each child I care for.
